We all have had a feeling of infatuation or attraction towards someone during our school days and our movies tried to portray the same emotions on screen many times yet they were unable to get the proper success.

But in 2018 Tamil Cinema came up with a movie called '96 ' featuring Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha, which was directed by C. Prem Kumar. 96 is one most claimed and iconic movie for portraying the story with originality and essence of old school love and 96 movie imdb rating is 8.6 . Also in a recent interview director of 96 movie C. Prem kumar revealed that he had written the entire script in just 20 days during the time of Bangalore flood.

Vijay Sethupathi 

The story revolves around a character called Ram (played by Vijay Sethupathi ) who recently visited his school after many years and fell for nostalgia of his school time and that made him call his friends and made a plan of reunion. 

Trisha

As the movie continues we also get to know that Ram and Jaanu ( played by Trisha ) had a love interest for each other and we witness a cute old school relationship where they can't even talk to each other properly but their eyes are enough to understand what the other person wants to say.

Also while analysing the natures of the character, we see Ram as a shy person and on other hand Jaanu was quite expressive. The love story comes to an interval when their school opens again after 10th holidays Jaanu gets to know that due to some reasons Ram has to leave the town suddenly without saying anything to anyone.

Years passed Jaanu got married and lives in abroad and on other had Ram became travel photographer and still unmarried and they finally meets after decades on the night of reunion and finally Jaanu get to know so many unrevealed stories of Ram and his feelings towards her and that made him to not to commit to anyone else.

Now if we talk about the songs of the movie then all songs hit directly to the soul and the lyrics seem so pure and true that it makes you fall in love with the characters but kadhale kadhale song is one of the best. Also the presentation of the story is totally top of the table and shows the exact feelings of the characters on screen which is totally remarkable and I personally believe that both the actors have done a fabulous job.

The storyline of the movie engages all the time by showing different narratives of the characters and the moments that tickles you with your school days infatuation. 

I personally suggest you to definitely watch the 96 movie available on YouTube in many languages Tamil , Telugu , Malayalam and Hindi as well . So the Hindi viewer can watch the movie without any difficulties. Also if you don't have any language barrier then you should definitely watch the movie in tamil language only.

The movie was also a big hit at the Tamil box office and when it was released on YouTube . It became a highly appreciated movie which made the makers think about its remake in different languages and they came up with movies like '99' and 'Jaanu' which were quite decent but weren't as impactful as '96'.

According to current news, Vijay Sethupathi recently announced that the producers of the movie are thinking about the hindi version of '96' movie. But I personally as 96 fan believe that the essence of old school love in movie seems very rare and close to ourselves. Also both actors have together almost created magic onscreen. As a Hindi Cinema Viewer we already have a hindi dub version of that movie on YouTube so I genuinely don't feel any need of remaking the whole thing because that kinda movie comes once in a year.

Whenever we hear the word October the first thing flashes in heads of filmy person is Shoojit Sircar's movie "October" (Bollywood Movie) featuring Varun Dhawan and Banita Sandhu , where he beautifully connected the whole movie with the flower called shiuli (Night-Flowering Jasmine or Coral Jasmine).

The psychology behind showcasing the flower throughout the movie is to portray the feeling of grief or sorrow. Also Shoojit Sircar was quite aware of the fact that the tree is often called the tree of sadness or sorrow and the reason behind it is that flower lose their brightness during day time.

Also while analysing the connections between the flower to the director we got to know that shiuli is the official flower of "West Bengal" which is known as Parijat there, and because he belongs to West Bengal he has a great knowledge of the flower.

In the books of  Tripuri Culture, it is associated with the cycle of birth and death, popularly known as " Garland of Dead '' . In India there are many stories related to this flower and most of them define this as also a symbol of divine and sadness at the same time.

According to Hindu mythology book Mahabharata, Parijata ( Shiuli ) appeared as a result of samudra manthan and Lord Krishna had to battle with Indira to win. Further on, Lord Krishna's wife Satyabhama demanded the tree be planted in her backyard. It so happened that in spite of having the tree in her backyard, the flowers used to fall in the adjacent backyard of the other queen Rukmini, who was favourite of Lord Krishna, only because of her superior devotion and humility. 

Also on August 5, 2020 India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi planted a Parijat sapling in the temple premises on the day of "Bhoomi Pujan"  or a groundbreaking ceremony that marks the building of the Ram temple in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh before laying the foundation stone of the temple.
